
During an exclusive interview on TungbaFM’s “Politics Naija” show with Olalekan Efficient, Hon Wasiu Ajirotutu, the Southwest Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), strongly criticized Sen Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the NNPP Presidential Candidate, for trying to take over the party. Hon Ajirotutu alleged that Sen Kwankwaso and his Kwankwasiya movement are attempting to oust the original founders and leaders of the NNPP, labeling their actions as an improper power grab.
Hon Ajirotutu expressed his disappointment with Sen Kwankwaso during the interview, accusing him and his supporters of attempting to hijack the party. He emphasized that Dr Aniebonnam is the Founder of NNPP does not belong to an Kwankwasiya group.
According to Hon Ajirotutu, the recent actions of Sen Kwankwaso and the Kwankwasiya movement are an effort to seize control and marginalize the contributions of the original founder Dr Aniebonnam,However, Hon Ajirotutu asserted that they have successfully reclaimed control of the party from Sen Kwankwaso and his followers. He stressed the importance of unity within the NNPP and encouraged members to remain committed to the party’s core principles of positive change for Nigeria.
Furthermore, He reiterated that the party’s focus should be on the interests of its members and the Nigerian society rather than personal ambitions.
In conclusion, Hon Ajirotutu reaffirmed his condemnation of Sen Kwankwaso and the attempted takeover of the NNPP. He reiterated his commitment, along with other new party leadership under Dr Agbor, to foster a democratic and inclusive environment within the party.
