The future hangs in the balance,

With heavy hearts, we mourn the loss of a bright Nigerian artist, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known as “Mohbad.” Before his untimely demise, Mohbad passionately expressed the challenges he faced, shedding light on the circumstances that may have led to his tragic death. Today, the Osun State Ministry of Youth Affairs joins hands with the world, united in our plea for justice. Failing to deliver justice would allow those responsible to continue exploiting our youth for their sinister agendas.

As the Honorable Commissioner, I, Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan, stand before you to convey our collective grief and determination. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the young people of our great state who rallied together in solidarity with Mohbad and offered their prayers to his grieving family. I implore our youth not to be swayed by the allure of wealth or fame into engaging in illegal activities that could jeopardize their lives or leave them powerless.

In the same breath, I, Hon. Olagunju Moshood, wish to express our appreciation to the Inspector General of Police for swiftly issuing orders and diligently overseeing the investigation into the tragic demise of this promising young musician. We are also grateful for the unwavering support extended to the bereaved family by numerous individuals and organizations.

Let us remember Mohbad and all the other bright stars we have lost, and let their memory inspire us to strive for a brighter and safer future for our youth.
