
The Caretaker Chairman of Boluwaduro East LCDA, Hon. ‘Biodun Fatooki-Oloba, engaged with his media unit on October 18, 2023, to discuss his “Development Agenda” for the LCDA, focusing on the two communities it encompasses: Igbajo and Iresi. His agenda is centered on achieving “Sustainable Growth and Development” for the council.
Hon. Fatooki-Oloba emphasized the critical importance of sustainable growth and development in improving the quality of life for communities, stating that local leaders play a pivotal role in shaping the destiny of their areas.
He noted that Boluwaduro East LCDA is rich in natural resources and human capital but faces challenges that hinder its sustainable growth and development. Nevertheless, he revealed plans to drive development that align with the vision of Governor Ademola Adeleke for Osun State.
Key areas of focus in the LCDA’s development agenda include infrastructure development, education, healthcare access, agriculture and rural development, human capital development, and environmental conservation.
During the discussion, Hon. ‘Biodun Fatooki-Oloba stressed his commitment to transparency, accountability, and community engagement, asserting that a people-centered approach is essential for successful development. He intends to work closely with community leaders, government agencies, and NGOs to leverage resources and expertise for development projects.
The Caretaker Chairman outlined various strategies, including transparent governance, professional development of LCDA staff, and the promotion of sustainable practices, such as the use of eco-friendly materials and renewable energy sources in infrastructure development.
