Hon. Adebayo Yusuf Adams Urges Ibadan North Voters to Support APC’s Adewale Olatunji Murphy in August 16 Bye-Election

IBADAN NORTH — As the critical August 16, 2025, by-election for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency approaches, Hon. Adebayo Yusuf Adams, a prominent APC chieftain, has passionately appealed to voters to rally behind the party’s candidate, Hon. Adewale Olatunji Murphy, whom he described as “the best man for the job.”

In an exclusive interview with StarNigerianNews.com, Hon Adams emphasized Murphy’s readiness to deliver “quality representation” in Abuja, urging party loyalists and the public to seize the opportunity to elect a leader committed to development, job creation, and improved welfare for the constituency.

Hon Adams, a respected party  figure in APC  Ibadan Northeast politics, framed the bye-election as a turning point: “Hon. Murphy is not just a candidate; he’s a visionary who understands the needs of the people.

From infrastructure to youth empowerment, his agenda aligns with the aspirations of Ibadan North.” He dismissed recent controversies including allegations of voter inducement as distractions, urging focus on Murphy’s proven track record .

The by-election, triggered by the passing of Hon. Olaide Akinremi “Jagaban,” has been marred by tensions, but Adams struck a conciliatory tone: “This is not about party alone; it’s about progress. We must unite behind Murphy to honor Jagaban’s legacy with purposeful leadership.” His appeal targeted undecided voters, stressing Murphy’s accessibility and grassroots connections.

Adams also directed a clarion call to APC members: “Our strength lies in unity. Let’s mobilize door-to-door to ensure victory.”

While opponents accuse the APC of divisive tactics, Adams countered: “Our campaign is issue-based. Murphy’s manifesto speaks for itself.” He challenged critics to engage on policy rather than “cheap politics” .
