Motto: EQUAL OPPORTUNITY AND SOCIAL JUSTICE.

Fellow Countrymen,

PUBLIC STATEMENT: LABOUR PARTY POLITICAL PARTY MARCHES ON !!!

As a preliminary step, we the Current National Executives, that is, the Managers & Administrators of Labour Party Political Party apologize on behalf of the Labour Party Political Party to the Nigerian Masses, the Nigerian Workers, the Nigerian Proletariat and all the Oppressed Citizens of Nigeria for the disappointing conduct, dismal Performance and jejune disposition of the previous National Executives of this Party in protecting the interests of the Nigerian Masses, the Nigerian Workers, the Nigerian Proletariat and all the Oppressed Citizens of Nigeria.

The “Gbajeu” Executives mismanaged and fraudulently administered the Party such that the Party became a wanton tool of the brutish Oppressors, the Capitalists, the right wing oppressive bourgeoisie, the rivals of the masses. They “conceptualized the Party with it’s legs and walked the Party with it’s head”. They wickedly and mischievously, for merchandising purposes, mated the left winged, social welfarist, masses oriented Labour Party with right winged, Capitalists, oppressive bourgeoisie, the rivals of the Masses. They commercially rented out the Party as “Cabu-Cabu”, which they corporately call SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle).

Above all, to cover up for their untoward and criminal activities in the party they have mapped out a surreptitious mischief to kill the Party by deliberately acting in such a way that the Party will be deregistered. This, we will not allow, we will resist this with the last blood in our veins.

As we march on, the situation so far:

LABOUR PARTY (LP)
(Operating with & Under 2014 Constitution)

In the case between Labour Party and NLC/TUC, titled Labour Party & Ors V Comrade Salisu Mohammed & Ors with Suit no FHC/ABJ/CS/866/2018, the “un-appealed” final Judgement of the Federal High Court, the Court mandated parties thereto to convene an expansive and inclusive National Convention of Labour Party (Operating with and under the 2014 Constitution)

Latter, INEC via letter referenced as INEC/DEPM/LP/86/IV/106, on 2nd October, 2018, mandated the parties thereto to convene the ordered National Convention of Labour Party (Operating with and under the 2014 Constitution), in line with the Court Judgment.

According to the Evidence/Affidavit deposed to on behalf of the NLC &TUC on 16th June, 2021, there has never been any notice of Convention to The NLC/TUC (The defendants in the Justice Kolawole’s Judgment of 2018), that is, no valid, proper or legal Convention of Labour Party (Operating with and under 2014 Constitution) has been held till date.

According to the Nigerian Constitution & Labour Party Constitution, there can not be a change, amendment, alteration or repeal of the Labour Party Constitution without a proper, valid, legal National Convention with the requisite notices and prior to which the National Executive Council must have established Constitutional amendment as a Convention agenda; And reregistered with INEC within 30 days of the assented Constitutional Amendment.

In 2019, INEC commenced a legal procedure and policy of publishing the registered, authentic, recognized Constitution of all Political Parties on its website.
INEC published the 2014 Constitution of Labour Party as the registered, authentic, recognized Constitution of Labour Party.

The 2014 Constitution is still on the INEC website till date.

LABOUR PARTY (LP)
(Operating with & Under 2014 Constitution)

The former Executives and members of the Labour Party Political Party technically and legally decamped from, and abandoned the Labour Party Political Party by affirming and confirming, through declarative and consequential events and Resolutions, allegiance to Constitutions other than that of the Labour Party Political Party (which they called and concocted as “2019 Constitution, as amended” ), that is, alienating themselves to the 2014 Constitution of the Labour Party Political Party, which is the Fons et Origo, grundnorm of the Labour Party Political Party

By the betrayal actions, the Labour Party Political Party suddenly became robed in the garb of contravening section 222 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended), positioning it at the risk of being implicated by section 225A of the same Constitution, which simply means deregistration of Labour Party as a Political Party.

Furthermore, after 10th June 2023 all the Executives of the Labour Party Political Party would have exceeded the requisite maximum term period of 4 years as stipulated in section 223 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended), and thereby, again be in contravention of the Constitution, and the Party would have become “Officer-less”, which would have been another Constitutional infraction.

The Labour Party Political Party became like a moving passenger bus whose driver, while on the express road abruptly jumped out of the bus, without handing over the steering to anybody, endangering the life of the passengers, leaving the passengers with no option than for one of them to swiftly take charge of the steering to save their lives.

Faced with the glaring state of emergency within the Labour Party Political Party, the residual loyal officers and members of the Labour Party Political Party summoned a meeting of the Labour Party Political Party via EXPANDED EXECUTIVE MEETING CUM NATIONAL STAKEHOLDERS’ MEETING” on 7th May, 2023, hosted by the Lagos State organ, which was the only remaining part of the Labour Party Political Party that still wholesomely operated with and under the 2014 Constitution of the Labour Party Political Party.

After serving the INEC the requisite notice, Labour Party Political Party held a “National Executive Council meeting of Necessity” (NEC-N) on 8th June, 2023, where declarative and consequential resolutions were made to cure the technical and legal quagmire the Labour Party Political Party suddenly found itself, and subsequently disrobed it of the garb of contravening sections 222, 223 and 225A of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended); which would have qualified it for deregistration.

LABOUR PARTY (LP)
(Operating with & Under 2014 Constitution)

The current Principal officers and their other Executives headed by Prince Prof. Ifagbemi Awamaridi as the Acting National Chairman, which has become Sine Qua Non to the Labour Party Political Party and it’s survival are now in charge of the Management & administration of the Labour Party Political Party.

Note: Any other group of persons that calls itself Labour Party can only be “Labour Party Political Club” not LABOUR PARTY POLITICAL PARTY as recognized by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).

Meanwhile, THE LABOUR PARTY POLITICAL PARTY MARCHES ON !!!

WE ARE ALL TOGETHER.

We shall overcome !
We shall overcome !!
We shall overcome Oppressors Ultimately !!!

Aluta Continua, Victoria Acerta.
