Governor Adeleke’s Courageous Exit From the PDP: A New Chapter for Osun’s Progress
The Imole Independent Support Forum (IISF) commends His Excellency, Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, for his bold and strategic resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), effective November 4, 2025. This decision, timely and necessary, aligns with Nigeria’s evolving political realities and reflects the Governor’s characteristic decisiveness.
For months, IISF had foreseen the PDP’s internal decline and advised a new political direction to consolidate the Governor’s continuity agenda. Today, the people of Osun State have made their position unmistakably clear: their support for Governor Adeleke transcends party lines. They stand ready to back him on any platform ahead of the 2026 elections.
Our recent survey confirms this overwhelming confidence. Governor Adeleke’s popularity is anchored in his performance; renewed infrastructure, improved welfare, advancing education, strengthened healthcare, digital innovation, and grassroots empowerment. His record is his party; the people are his structure.
As this new chapter opens, IISF is fully prepared to embark on massive sensitization and mobilization across Osun. Our task is simple: guide the people through the Governor’s chosen platform and reinforce the message of continuity and progress.
History will remember this moment as one where a leader challenged the status quo for the good of his people, choosing action over complacency and principle over party constraint.
We salute Governor Adeleke’s courage and reaffirm our unwavering support.
Comrade Ebenezer Olusegun Ige
Director of Media, IISF
