
In an interview on the weekly political magazine program “Politics Naija” aired on TungbaFM Network, Honorable Kilamuwaye Badmus, the Southwest Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), disclosed the party’s strategic move towards strengthening its grassroots presence. Badmus revealed that NNPP is gearing up to conduct congresses in 14 states across the nation.
The states earmarked for these congresses include Kwara, Kaduna, Kastina, Niger, Zamfara, Rivers, Enugu, Ekiti, Ogun, Delta, Anambra, Oyo, Adamawa, and Sokoto. This initiative comes amidst ongoing preparations for upcoming elections in various states, notably the impending contest in Edo State.
Badmus emphasized the party’s readiness to address internal challenges, stating that despite recent crises, NNPP remains steadfast in its commitment to advancing Nigeria’s development agenda. When questioned about the party’s inception, he highlighted its diverse founding members, spanning several years.
Furthermore, Badmus commended the governance strides of Governor Abbah Yusuf in Kano State, underscoring NNPP’s endorsement of effective leadership across regions. He particularly lauded the strength and dedication of the NNPP’s Southwest Chieftain, Ambassador Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, in championing developmental objectives and the vision for a renewed Nigeria.
