
The Commissioner for Youth Affairs, Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan, inaugurated the IMOLE YOUTH ENGAGEMENT program under the theme “Commissioner at your doorstep. Spearheaded under the administration of His Excellency, Senator, Dr. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, the Executive Governor of Osun State.
The launch took place at the DHARMIECOAL TEXTILE ART GALLERY located in Ayekale, Osogbo, Osun State, marking a significant step towards fulfilling the program’s objectives.

The primary goal of the initiative is to establish direct connections between the commissioner and young entrepreneurs across Osun State. By doing so, the program aims to provide essential support for youth-led enterprises, fostering their growth and enabling them to contribute meaningfully to the state’s development.
During his visit, Hon. Olalekan engaged with Olayokun Samuel Damilola, the creative director of the gallery, who expressed delight at the commissioner’s presence alongside ministry staff. Together, they discussed Damilola’s entrepreneurial journey, the challenges encountered, and potential government interventions to address them.
As the tour progressed through the gallery, Hon. Olalekan extended his encouragement to Damilola, demonstrating support by patronizing his establishment and presenting a certificate of encouragement.
Damilola, in turn, lauded the commissioner for the innovative approach of directly engaging with youth entrepreneurs. He praised the initiative for not only fostering economic growth but also for its potential to reduce crime rates in Osun State while fostering overall development.
The launch of the IMOLE YOUTH ENGAGEMENT program signals a proactive step towards empowering Osun’s youth, fostering entrepreneurship, and creating a positive impact within local communities.
