OYA Movement Stages Massive Rally for AMBO, Mobilises Thousands Across Olorunda and Osogbo
In a remarkable display of grassroots political mobilisation, the Hon. Owolabi Yusuf Abiodun (OYA) Political Movement on Friday, July 31, organised a massive rally in support of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), ahead of the August 15, 2026, Osun State Governorship Election.
The rally, coordinated in Olorunda Local Government by Mr. Adeniyi Komolafe, attracted enthusiastic supporters and residents as the campaign train moved from Orita Elelede in Olorunda Local Government through major communities to Isale Osun in Osogbo Local Government.
The event showcased the growing influence of the OYA Movement, widely recognised as one of the vibrant grassroots political movements within Osogbo Federal Constituency and across Osun State.
Speaking during an interview with Starnigerianews.co.m, the founder of the movement, Hon. Owolabi Yusuf Abiodun, reaffirmed that the group’s sole mission is to ensure the electoral victory of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji at the August 15 governorship election.
According to him, the movement remains committed to mobilising voters, engaging communities, and strengthening support for the APC candidate across every ward and polling unit in the state.
“Our mission is clear—to work tirelessly for the victory of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji. We believe he possesses the vision, competence, and leadership needed to move Osun State to greater heights,” Hon. Owolabi Yusuf Abiodun stated.
Leading the mobilisation in Olorunda, Mr. Adeniyi Komolafe commended members of the movement and party supporters for their commitment and impressive turnout, describing the rally as another demonstration of the growing acceptance of the APC governorship candidate among the people.
Members of the AMBO campaign team also expressed satisfaction with the massive participation witnessed throughout the rally, noting that the enthusiasm displayed by residents reflects increasing confidence in the APC’s vision for Osun State.
Throughout the procession, supporters chanted campaign slogans, waved party flags, and interacted with residents while conveying the movement’s message that Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji represents the best alternative to provide purposeful leadership and take Osun State to the next level.
Political observers described the rally as another significant boost to the APC campaign as preparations intensify for the August 15 governorship election.
