CIPM Offers Free Rescheduling for Students Affected by Network Issues in March Diet Exams

The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) has addressed the challenges faced by students during the March 2024 diet examinations in the West African region due to network issues.

In a communication addressed to all CIPM students, the institute expressed understanding of the frustrations caused by the recent network disruptions, particularly during the examination period. While some candidates managed to complete their exams within the scheduled timeframe, many encountered difficulties due to the network outages.

Acknowledging the severity of the situation, the CIPM took proactive measures by extending the examination window period till 6 PM, instead of the original 12 noon deadline, for each examination day. This decision aimed to accommodate candidates who faced hindrances during the initial timeframe.

The root cause of the network issues, as highlighted in a press release by the Nigerian Communications Commission, was attributed to undersea cable cuts affecting data and fixed telecom services across various West African countries, including Nigeria.

To address the concerns of affected candidates, the CIPM announced its decision to reschedule the examinations for those hindered by the network failures. Importantly, this rescheduling comes at no extra cost to the students, ensuring fairness and equitable treatment for all candidates.

In their communication, the institute extended congratulations to those who persevered through the challenging examination moments and apologized for any inconveniences experienced. They emphasized their commitment to ensuring the success of all students and encouraged further inquiries to be directed to exams@cipmnigeria.org along with the student number for prompt assistance.

The CIPM’s swift response and proactive measures underscore their dedication to upholding the integrity and fairness of the examination process amidst unforeseen challenges, ultimately prioritizing the success and satisfaction of their student body.
