Making an appearance on Politics Naija with OlalekanEfficient on TungbaFM Network, Hon Funmiso Babarinde, a prominent member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, passionately defended the necessity of changing the state’s logo under the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke. Babarinde argued that the current logo fails to encapsulate the essence of Osun State and its people.
During the discussion, Babarinde emphasized the significance of a state’s logo, stating that it serves as the identity and representation of the region. He underscored the importance of paying close attention to this symbol, especially in ensuring it reflects the values and aspirations of the populace.
Addressing the concerns raised by Osun State residents, both at home and abroad, Babarinde revealed that the state government has initiated the process of soliciting new logo designs. He disclosed that the government aims to involve the public in this decision-making process by welcoming entries from various stakeholders.
Furthermore, Babarinde announced that Governor Adeleke will personally select the most fitting design from the submissions and unveil it at the next Ipade Apero event in Ilesha. This move highlights the administration’s commitment to transparency and inclusivity in governance.
In addition to advocating for the logo change, Babarinde took the opportunity to highlight several other commendable projects initiated by Governor Adeleke’s administration. These projects, he asserted, are aimed at improving the quality of life for the people of Osun State.
The announcement of the logo change initiative signals a proactive approach by the Osun State government under Governor Adeleke’s leadership to address public concerns and ensure that the state’s visual representation aligns with its values and aspirations.
