Osun: Infra projects will earn Adeleke second term in office – Babarinde

As the government of Dr Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke is moving toward the first half of the first four years that is renewable, I can’t but agree that the gale of developments going on in Osun State, coupled with the administration’s sincere efforts in the area of workers welfare, health, rural developments etc in less than two years is commendable.

There have been various challenges faced by the administration when it took over the mantle of leadership, ranging from the state’s huge indebtedness, unpaid salaries and pensions, uncompleted projects, a local government in comatose and litany of unfriendly policies.

The administration hits the ground running by constituting high-calibre intellectuals into various committees to critically look into the activities of the past administrations and come up with solutions to move the state forward.

Today, looking back, we can’t, but thank God for giving us a governor with a listening ear and his humane cabinet members, a governor that is thirsty to see an Osun that is a a dignified among its peers in the comity of states in Nigeria.

Yoruba people will say “yiniyini keni se imii”, the task ahead is heavy and the challenges will always be present but there is a need to encourage the Governor and his team with needed support, love, prayer and motivation.

The commissioning of a dual carriageway in Ilesa, the capital city of Ijesa worldwide, is unprecedented as this would change the social, commercial, and entrepreneurship narratives of the people. Also, the commissioning of the flyover in the source of the human race, Ile – Ife will be taking place on Tuesday too. This is strategic and germane to the overall development of Osun. Ile Ife is the traditional cradle of the human race, and the Oba Awon University host city deserves all the attention of the present government.

The government plans to extend the infra developments to other major cities of Iwo, Gbogan, Ikire, Ikirun, Ila, and so on are reasons why we should support the administration to continue and finish the uplifting of our dear state.

We will all agree that there are infrastructural development deficits in Osun State, hence the need to commend and encourage the present administrations to do more for Osun to grow. All these developmental strides will bring more investments which will in turn affect youth employment and increase internally generated revenue.

To our amiable governor, welcome to Ifeland. We are looking forward to more dividends of democracy in the nooks and crannies of our dear Osun state.

Hon Funmiso Babarinde (JP)
Yakooyo ward
Ife North LG, Ipetumodu
