PRESS RELEASE BY HON. ADESHINA OYERINDE COMMEMORATING DEMOCRACY DAY CELEBRATION, 29TH MAY 2024

every generation do have a time of deep thinking reflective moment to review where they are coming from, where they are, and what lies ahead.

This day is such a moment when we have to review ourselves as a people of Ifelodun State Constituency, in particular, people of Osun State and Nigerians in general.

What we have become is definitely a product of what we have done, not just what we can do, and truthfully, we can really do so much more than we have if only we place our best foot forward, shy away from idleness and greediness and chose to be selfless, thinking of others before ourselves as it is generally said, one cannot finish the meal prepared by the community, but the community makes one meal delicious.

As we celebrate our democracy day today, I enjoin all the people of Ifelodun Constituency to choose to be selfless in living, hardworking and determined to succeed irrespective of what challenges may come our ways, the glory ahead of us, far outweigh the defeat of the past.

Every child has the potential to succeed given the right conditions, every young person has the guts to break barriers and excel on a global stage and every elderly has the wisdom of time past to advise us on the path to follow and avoid to lead a more productive life, that is the beautiful of together, that democracy provides.

Let’s unite to make Ifelodun great. Let’s join hands to place Ifelodun Local Government on the part of not just Nigeria but on the global screen.

That is the beauty of democracy. Let’s join hands to form our government by supporting and promoting the right choices that will represent us well at all times with the right vibrancy, strength, experiences, and networks.
