In a compelling plea, Comrade Ogbanago Muhammed Ibrahim FRM has challenged political leaders across Nigeria to listen to the voices of the people to avert a crisis similar to the one experienced in Kenya. Ibrahim, a recipient of the FRM National Award conferred by former President Muhammadu Buhari, made this call during his appearance on the popular weekly political program “Politics Naija” with Mogaji Olalekan Efficient on TungbaFM Network.
Ibrahim emphasized the growing dissatisfaction among Nigerians due to the economic and social challenges facing the country. He warned that failure to address these issues could lead to unrest and instability, drawing parallels with the recent political turmoil in Kenya.
“The people of Nigeria are growing increasingly frustrated with the lack of responsiveness from their leaders. We must act now to address their concerns and prevent a situation like the one in Kenya,” Ibrahim stated.
In addition to his call for national attention, Ibrahim also weighed in on the ongoing crisis in Rivers State. He commented on the recent Appeal Court ruling that quashed the suspension of 26 lawmakers by the State Assembly, which has further intensified political tensions in the region.
“The judiciary has spoken, and it is imperative that we respect its decisions. The reinstatement of these lawmakers is a step towards restoring democratic order in Rivers State. It is now up to the political leaders to ensure that this decision leads to a resolution of the underlying issues,” Ibrahim noted.
The program, known for its in-depth political analysis, highlighted the urgency of Ibrahim’s message, underscoring the need for Nigerian leaders to prioritize the welfare of their citizens to ensure stability and progress.
As Nigeria navigates its complex political landscape, voices like Ibrahim’s serve as crucial reminders of the importance of responsive and accountable governance.
