Armed Robbers Invade Ajilete 92.1 FM

Armed robbers in the dead of night invaded the Ajilete 92.1 FM radio station of the BCOS at Gambari, Ogbomoso, vandalizing and carting away power supply equipment and facilities.

 

The robbers were reported to have raided the station’s power generator house, where they cut off armoured cables, while also ransacking the transmitter house.

 

The Head of the Station’s Engineering Unit, Mr. Kabir Kasali confirmed that armoured cables supplying electricity to the main building were carted away, while the Ibadan link decoder was also stolen.

 

The station’s security guard, Mr. Isaac Akanni was reportedly beaten and tied up by the robbers.

 

Other items stolen included a motorcycle belonging to the security guard and other valuables
