
Doctoral Candidate Wasiu Kayode Sulaiman Achieves PhD Success
Osun State University, August 27, 2024 — Doctoral candidate Wasiu Kayode Sulaiman has achieved a significant academic milestone by successfully defending his PhD dissertation with an excellent grade. The defense took place at the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry, within the Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences, College of Science, Engineering, and Technology.
Sulaiman’s dissertation, titled “Phytotoxicity Assessment of Bisphenol-A in Tomatoes (Lycopersicon esculentum) and Its Adsorption by Iron Nanoparticles (FeONPs),” received high praise from the examining committee. His research focuses on the impact of bisphenol-A, a common environmental contaminant, on tomato plants and explores innovative methods for mitigating its effects through the use of iron nanoparticles.
