Barrister Mobolaji Arokoto Joins Ekunle High School II for Annual Inter-House Sports, Celebrates Naming of Arokoto House

Iseyin, Oyo State– In a colorful and energetic display of sportsmanship, Barrister Mobolaji Arokoto joined the management, staff, and students of Ekunle High School II, Iseyin, for their annual inter-house sports competition held on February 18, 2025. The event, which brought together students, teachers, and community leaders, was a celebration of talent, unity, and community pride.

One of the highlights of the event was the recognition of Barrister Mobolaji Arokoto’s contributions to education and youth development in Iseyin, as the Yellow House was officially named “Arokoto House” in honor of his family. The naming places the Arokoto family alongside other esteemed sons of Iseyin, including Alege House, Oluwalogbon House, and Oyebola House, the latter named after a royal father of the community.

Expressing his gratitude, Barrister Arokoto described the honor as a privilege and a testament to his family’s commitment to the development of Iseyin and Oyo State at large. “It is an honor and a great privilege for Yellow House to be named after the Arokoto family household name. This wonderful recognition aligns with my contribution to educational and youth development within our community. I pledge to continue my numerous inputs to Oyo State and Nigeria at large,” he said.

The students of Arokoto House (Yellow House) put up an impressive performance during the competition, finishing in second place. Barrister Arokoto commended the athletes for their dedication and sportsmanship, promising that the house would aim for the top spot in the next edition of the inter-house sports. “Arokoto House did not disappoint as our athletes finished in second place. We will surely do better at the next inter-house sports,” he assured.

In addition to his participation in the event, Barrister Arokoto demonstrated his commitment to education by donating books to the libraries of several schools in Iseyin. This gesture further underscores his dedication to empowering the youth and improving access to quality education in the community.
