Com Morris Ejuoghanran Gbenebitse, candidate for the presidency of the Itsekiri National Youth Council (INYC), has emphasized the untapped potential of Abe-Ugborodo during his recent visit to the town. Gbenebitse, alongside members of his campaign team, observed the town’s immense promise to become a strategic commercial hub for coastal communities, citing the accessibility of key roads to urban cities like Sapele and Warri.

In his assessment, the availability of these roads presents a unique opportunity for traders from the riverine areas to easily transport goods to larger markets, positioning Abe-Ugborodo as a crucial player in regional commerce.

However, the visit was not without its challenges. During a meeting with the youths of Abe-Ugborodo, Gbenebitse listened attentively to their frustrations over the long-standing neglect by relevant Iwere stakeholders. The youths expressed concerns regarding their limited economic participation and empowerment, highlighting the need for greater attention to their community’s development.

In his response, Gbenebitse assured the youths that, if elected as president of the INYC, he would prioritize the issues raised and work tirelessly to ensure the people of Abe-Ugborodo receive the attention they deserve.

“We are committed to addressing these concerns and creating lasting change for the youth and the entire community. A transformational INYC is what we need, and together, we will make this a reality,” Gbenebitse said.

The Abe-Ugborodo youths, in turn, expressed their unwavering support for Gbenebitse’s candidacy, pledging to back his vision for a stronger, more empowered community.

In a show of unity and determination, the youths of Abe-Ugborodo declared their full support for Gbenebitse, echoing the rallying cry: “AGBERENDIDEN!!! ENEDOKPE OOO!”

Gbenebitse’s visit to Abe-Ugborodo underscores his commitment to ensuring that all Itsekiri youths, especially those in marginalized coastal areas, are not left behind in the quest for socio-economic developmentand empowerment.
