Alaafin Coronation: Elewedu Akute Celebrates Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade I’s Coronation as 46th Alaafin of Oyo

Prominent member and Stakeholders of Nigeria Union of Road Transport workers (NURTW) in Lagos State Elewedu Akute has joined millions of well-wishers across Nigeria and the Yoruba diaspora in celebrating the coronation of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade I, as the 46th Alaafin of Oyo. The ceremony, held on April 5, 2025, at the ancient palace in Oyo, marked the beginning of a new chapter in the kingdom’s storied history.
In a grand display of cultural pride, the Elewedu Akute community who was physically present at the event to honor the new Alaafin. Traditional drummers, dancers, and chiefs adorned in royal regalia filled the town square as residents paid homage to the revered monarch.
Elewedu Akute, congratulate and praised Oba Owoade’s ascension, describing it as a “victory for the entire Yoruba race.” He highlighted the new Alaafin’s reputation as a visionary leader, young energetic, successful entrepreneur, and bridge-builder between tradition and modernity.
Elewedu Akute  expressed confidence in the new Alaafin’s ability to uphold the rich traditions of the throne while embracing progressive governance.
