Trump Putin Alaska Summit: A Bold Step Toward Russia Ukraine Peace

For the first time, we are witnessing a genuine step toward a possible ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine an unprecedented development in the ongoing conflict. Unfortunately, Democrats, the liberal media, and the European Union seem determined to sabotage this process.
President Joe Biden has been unable to get Vladimir Putin on the phone throughout his presidency. The EU offers no tangible solutions, aside from pleading with the United States to keep funding a war that has cost countless lives on both sides.
Yet, President Donald Trump has managed to persuade Putin to agree to a face-to-face meeting an undeniable testament to his influence and negotiating power. Putin’s willingness to come to Alaska for this meeting is a bold move. Let’s not forget, even the Pope tried to meet with Putin but was unsuccessful.
In truth, the real obstructionists here are not President Putin but the Democrats and EU officials, who are suddenly making demands about whether Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky should concede territory. In recent days, the British Prime Minister and French President have been especially vocal about Ukraine’s “rights” in this process risking the derailment of a fragile peace initiative before it begins.
Instead of meddling, these leaders should take their political posturing and “eye service” elsewhere. The priority should be stopping the bloodshed between Russia and Ukraine, not scoring political points.
Whether the Trump Putin Alaska summit produces a final peace agreement or not, it is undeniably a move in the right direction a step toward lasting peace in the region.
