Ifa Worship Service Premieres on TungbaFM to Celebrate 2025 Isese Day

In commemoration of the 2025 Isese Day, TungbaFM Network aired a special live Ifa worship service on Saturday, August 23, 2025, led by the Spiritual Leader of Ile Ijosin Isese Asegun, Temidire Ejigbo, Chief (Ifanjenisi) Adeifa Iwalesin.

The worship session, which featured songs, prayers, and words of exhortation, was hosted on the station’s flagship programme Saturday Special with Mogaji Olalekan Efficient. Listeners across Lagos ,Ogun, Osun State and beyond tuned in to be part of the historic service, which marked the first time an Ifa worship session was broadcast live on TungbaFM.

Chief Adeifa Iwalesin, fondly known as Baba Awo, offered fervent prayers for Nigeria, its leaders, and citizens, emphasizing peace, unity, and prosperity. He also invoked blessings for all sons and daughters of Oduduwa across the globe as they marked the annual Isese Day, observed officially on August 20.

According to the organisers, the broadcast was designed not only to celebrate Isese traditions but also to reconnect Yoruba indigenes with their cultural heritage through the airwaves.

Listeners expressed excitement, with many calling in during and after the programme to appreciate TungbaFM for giving prominence to indigenous spirituality.

Isese Day, now officially recognized in Osun, Oyo, and Lagos States, continues to gain wider acceptance as a day to honor Yoruba culture, spirituality, and traditions.
