Lagos Assembly Set for 10th Annual Constituency Stakeholders’ Meeting Thursday
All is set for the 10th edition of the Constituency Stakeholders’ Meeting organized by the Lagos State House of Assembly, scheduled to hold simultaneously across the state’s 40 constituencies on Thursday, September 4, 2025.
The initiative, first introduced in 2015 by the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has become a model of grassroots engagement, transparency, and accountability, giving constituents the opportunity to directly interact with their lawmakers.
In a statement made available to Star Nigeria News by the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Dave Agboola, this year’s meeting will focus on the theme: “Governance in Action: The Gains of the Renewed Hope Agenda.” The theme underscores the Assembly’s commitment to highlighting the achievements of governance under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while emphasizing collaboration between government and citizens from the federal to local levels.
The meeting is designed to serve as an avenue for constituents to engage their representatives, raise pressing issues, share insights, and provide feedback on government initiatives. It also offers a platform for showcasing the successes of the current administration across Lagos State.
Speaker Obasa described the gathering as a vital tool for sustaining dialogue and accountability between the government and the people. “This initiative has proven to be an effective bridge, ensuring that the voices of our constituents are heard and their needs addressed,” he said.
As the date approaches, anticipation continues to build across communities, with residents eager to participate in discussions that will help shape the future of governance in the state.
Obasa, while calling for full participation, encouraged all stakeholders to seize the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the dialogues.
