OSPOLY NAPAS ALUMNI HOLD THIRD SYMPOSIUM IN GRAND STYLE

THE Osun State Polytechnic, Iree – NAPAS Alumni holds its third symposium for the Students of the Department Accountancy

The theme of this year symposium held at the institution ETF Hall yesterday was Harnessing Artificial Intelligence: The future of Accounting and Financial Reporting.

In his welcome address, The Rector, Alhaji Kehinde Adeyemi Alabi who was represented by the Deputy Rector of the institution, Dr. Oyekeke G.O. emphasized the importance of Alumni collaboration with the institution. He thanked the executives and members of the association for being a good Ambassadors of the institution and also a proactive association that provides a lifeline for the incoming graduates of the department.

The symposium lecture was delivered by the Head of Accounting Department, Lead City University, Professor Emmanuel Oyedokun.

The Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Olamide in his speech, acknowledged the contributions of the association to the department of accountancy for more than a decade. He further prayed for the members of association to be ever progressive and productive in their endeavors.

The Head of Department, Dr Fasesin in her address described the association as the bedrock of the Department. She said the Association had been supporting the Department all the years to meet its need.

As part of the event, the association donated a set of computer to the institutions for the the accounting labs and to the benefits of the student of the department at large. The computer set was presented by immediate past president of the association, chief Adebayo Adewopo to the management of the institution.
