Nigerian Diplomat, UN Peace Ambassador Congratulates AMBO on APC Governorship Ticket

A Nigerian diplomat and United Nations Peace Ambassador, Oladele Simeon Adewale, has congratulated Alhaji Munirudeen Oyebamiji (AMBO) on his emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate for Osun State.

In a congratulatory message made available to newsmen on Tuesday, Adewale described AMBO’s victory at the party primary as a reflection of confidence in his leadership capacity, experience, and commitment to good governance.

According to the UN Peace Ambassador, Oyebamiji’s emergence comes at a critical time when Osun State requires visionary leadership anchored on peace, inclusiveness, and sustainable development.

“Your emergence as the APC flagbearer is a clear testament to your dedication to public service and the trust reposed in you by party stakeholders. I am confident that your wealth of experience and calm disposition will further strengthen democratic values and promote unity in Osun State,” Adewale stated.

He further urged party members and supporters to close ranks and work collectively towards a peaceful and issue-based campaign, noting that unity within the APC would be key to electoral success.

Adewale also called on political actors in the state to prioritize peace before, during, and after the elections, emphasizing that development can only thrive in an atmosphere of stability.

Alhaji Munirudeen Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, recently emerged as the APC candidate following a keenly contested primary election, positioning him as the party’s standard-bearer in the forthcoming Osun State governorship election.

Political observers say the endorsement and goodwill messages from prominent Nigerians and international figures underscore AMBO’s growing acceptance and national relevance within the APC and beyond.
