Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda Delivers Visible Progress on Enugu–Onitsha Expressway — NPPY Convener
Construction advances into Anambra, dispelling claims of regional bias
The Convener of the National Progressive Platform for Youth (NPPY), Ambassador Adedamola Rasak Kazeem, ANIA, has said that ongoing reconstruction work on the Enugu Onitsha Expressway is clear evidence that the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is delivering infrastructure projects across all regions of Nigeria, not only the South-West or Lagos.
In a statement released made available to starnigerianews.com Amb. Kazeem disclosed that construction on the strategic federal highway has now reached the Awkuzu–Umunya axis in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State, with asphalt laying currently ongoing along the Ukpo–Awkuzu corridor.
According to him, the level of work being recorded on the expressway underscores the commitment of the Renewed Hope Administration, working in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Works under the leadership of Engr. Dave Umahi, to deliver an unprecedented infrastructure revolution nationwide.
“The progress on the Enugu–Onitsha Expressway once again puts to rest the false narrative that President Tinubu is concentrating development only in the South-West. What we are seeing in Anambra today is proof that this administration is fair, inclusive, and development-driven,” Kazeem stated.
He described the Enugu–Onitsha Expressway as a critical economic and transportation corridor that links the South-East to other parts of the country, noting that its reconstruction will enhance road safety, reduce travel time, stimulate commerce, and improve the quality of life for commuters and host communities.
Amb. Kazeem added that the ongoing works reaffirm the Federal Government’s resolve to deliver durable, high-quality road infrastructure and to give priority attention to long-neglected federal highways under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The NPPY convener called on Nigerians, especially youths, to continue to support the Tinubu administration, stressing that the visible results across regions demonstrate a clear commitment to national development and inclusive governance.
