Ambassador Simeon Adewale Oladele, FCSA (USA), FCFIP, FCTI, FIPA (AUS), FFA (UK), FCNA, stands as a shining example of purposeful leadership, professional excellence, and unwavering commitment to humanity. An Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, UN Peace Ambassador, and BAFASPORTS Ambassador, Oladele’s life story reflects resilience, discipline, and a passion for service that transcends borders.
Born in Awe, Afijio Local Government Area of Oyo State, Nigeria, Simeon Adewale Oladele began his educational journey at Omolayo Junior School and St. Patrick’s Grammar School, Ibadan. From an early age, his leadership qualities were evident, as he served as Class Captain throughout his secondary school years and played active roles in student unionism, departmental leadership, and editorial boards.
Driven by a deep interest in accounting, auditing, and public finance, he obtained his National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy from Osun State Polytechnic, Iree. He further earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting (Fraud Detection Option) from Achievers University, Owo, and a Master’s degree in Forensic Accounting from St. Monica University, Cameroon. Expanding his academic and professional horizon globally, he is currently a graduate student of the University of the Southern Caribbean (USC), Trinidad and Tobago, pursuing an MSc in National Security and Intelligence Studies, and recently completed a PhD in Forensic Accounting and Audit from the prestigious Charisma University, Turks and Caicos Islands.
A highly respected professional, Ambassador Oladele is a Fellow of several renowned local and international professional bodies, including the Chartered System Accountants (USA), Chartered Forensic Investigation Professionals (USA), Chartered Institute of Taxation, Institute of Public Accountants (Australia), Institute of Financial Accountants (UK), and Certified National Accountants of Nigeria. He is also an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management. His intellectual contributions cut across credible journals, academic publications, and conferences within and outside Nigeria.
Despite being born without privilege, Simeon Oladele’s rise has been powered by hard work, faith in God, and an unrelenting desire to uplift others. This philosophy of service has shaped his lifelong commitment to community development. During his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) year in Kogi State, he distinguished himself as Overall Parade Commander, Cadet-in-Chief of the Road Safety CDS Group, and Deputy Editor-in-Chief/Production Manager of the NYSC Editorial Board CDS Group. His exemplary service earned him multiple accolades, including the Overall Best Corps Member and Most Popular Corps Member of the 2006 Batch ‘B’ in Kogi State, as well as the prestigious NYSC President’s Honours Award—a national recognition that secured him automatic employment into the Federal Civil Service.
Ambassador Oladele’s career within the Nigerian public service has been both impactful and diverse. After a brief professional engagement with Tantalizers Limited as a Regional Outlet Accountant in 2007, he joined the Federal Government in 2008 and was deployed to the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation (OAGF), Treasury House, Abuja. Over the years, he served across several Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), including as Head of Internal Audit at the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) across Kebbi, Ekiti, and Bauchi State Commands. He later served as Personal Assistant and Principal Private Secretary to the Accountant-General of the Federation between 2011 and 2015.
His professional footprint includes key national assignments and reforms such as the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC), Public Accounts Committees of the National Assembly, Appropriation Committees, IPPIS, GIFMIS, and the implementation of International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS). He also served as Principal Accountant at the Federal Character Commission, Project Auditor on the Mambilla Hydroelectric Power Project, Head of Checking and Other Charges at the Nigerian National Merit Award Secretariat, and Head of Accounts Administration at NSCDC Headquarters.
In 2021, he was posted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and subsequently deployed on diplomatic mission as Finance Attaché at the Nigerian High Commission, Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. Beyond his official duties, he immersed himself in community life, participating in 77 races—including a full marathon—embracing the national SteelPan culture, and joining the Phase II Pan Groove Orchestra, where he also serves on the Finance Committee and initiated an inaugural 5km Run/Walk fundraiser.
A true global citizen, Ambassador Oladele has visited over 30 countries across Africa, Europe, North America, and the Caribbean. His appreciation for diversity and unity earned him the chieftaincy title of Oyi Ndigbo (Friend of the Igbos) in Abuja. He is affiliated with numerous international and local organizations, including the National Society of Leadership and Success (USA), ForbesBLK Community, Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), Global Peace Forum (UK), and the National Association of President’s NYSC Honours Awardees, where he served as National President from 2011 to 2017.
In recognition of his extensive humanitarian work—ranging from support for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), flood victims, free medical outreach, and youth and women empowerment—he was conferred with the prestigious UN Peace Ambassador title by the United Nations Youth Association of Nigeria (UNYA-NG). He has also received several global honours, including the Distinguished Global Alumnus Excellence Award, the UNNG 2026 S.H.I.N.E Award in New York, and the Best Youth Leader Award by the Nigeria High Commission in the United Kingdom.
Ambassador Oladele is the founder of Youth Peace Vanguard of Nigeria (PVN), One Youth One Skill (OYOS) National Movement, and the Oladele Adewale Simeon Ideal Skills (OASIS) Foundation. Through OASIS Foundation, he has empowered over 1,700 youths with employment opportunities, facilitated educational admissions, provided free medical services, supported orphanages, assisted IDP camps, contributed to prison decongestion, and driven grassroots development initiatives across Oyo State and Nigeria.
Politically, he is a strong supporter of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and remains an influential grassroots mobilizer in Oyo State and beyond. He has served on several advisory and support committees and is an active member of progressive political organizations.
Beyond titles and accolades, Ambassador Simeon Adewale Oladele is widely regarded as approachable, visionary, and deeply compassionate. A Chartered and Forensic Accountant, security and intelligence expert, teacher, mentor, elite runner, pan player, reformer, and trailblazer, he embodies service-driven leadership.
Happily married and blessed with children, he enjoys travelling, writing, public speaking, and negotiation.
