Canon Omigbodun Installed on Cathedral’s Statutory Stall Named After Father, Venerable Omigbodun
History was made this Sunday 28th June 2026, as the Reverend Canon Goke Omigbodun was installed Statutory Canon of the Anglican Cathedral of All Saints, Balogun Agoro, Osogbo by the Diocesan Bishop of Osun, the Right Reverend Foluso Babatunji.
The rare history is the allotment of the Stall named after his late father, the Venerable Ladunjoye Omigbodun to the Reverend Canon Goke Omigbodun, being one of Fifteen Statutory Canons Stalls in the Cathedral of the Osun Diocese.
In his sermon during the Installation Service, Bishop Foluso Babatunji selected verses from the twelfth Chapter of the Gospel according to Saint Luke, to charge the fifteen newly installed Statutory Canons, to be vigilant and watchful in their respective ministries, to always overcome spiritual challenges.
The Dean of the Cathedral of All Saints Balogun Agoro Osogbo, the Venerable Dayo Ojo had earlier been directed by the Diocesan Bishop, to install the Statutory Canons, leading each to his stall, including the Rev. Canon Goke Omigbodun to the Venerable Ladunjoye Omigbodun Stall.
