Senator Adetokunbo Abiru has made Lagos East better – Enitan Olukotun.

In an interview on Politics Naija with Mogaji Oladigbo Olalekan Efficient on Tungba100.9FM Ikorodu, Hon Enitan Olukotun, Media Aide to Senator Adetokunbo Abiru, the distinguished Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, unveiled a series of impactful development projects aimed at bolstering healthcare, entrepreneurship, education, and community welfare across the district.



Among the highlights of the initiatives discussed during the interview were:

1. Facilitation of 40 Beds Primary Health Centre in Agboyi, Ketu: A critical step towards enhancing healthcare accessibility within the district.

2. 6% P.A Interest Constituency Revolving Loan for MSMEs Empowering local entrepreneurs with sustainable financial support to stimulate economic growth.

3. Lagos East 6% Interest P.A Revolving Loan for MSMEs: A broader initiative aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and job creation within the district.

4. Facilitation and Upgrade of Oluwo Fish Market, Epe: A comprehensive project aimed at modernizing and expanding market infrastructure to benefit local traders, comprising 339 shops.

5. Construction of 6 Blocks of 24 Classrooms with Toilets at Aga Primary School: Investing in education infrastructure to provide conducive learning environments for future generations.

6. Distribution of 150 Bags of 50kg Rice to Flood-Affected Residents: Senator Abiru’s gesture of solidarity and support to communities affected by the 2023 flood.

Moreover, Hon Eniola Olukotun revealed that the pioneering participants of these initiatives would undergo intensive training sessions lasting between 3 to 6 months. With over 4000 young people applying for the program, only 150 were accommodated in the temporary facility. However, plans are underway to repeat the cohort for new participants throughout the year, with the goal of impacting a total of 500 participants in 2022.

The permanent site for the training facility is slated for completion before the end of July 2022. This purpose-built infrastructure will feature a state-of-the-art computer lab capable of seating 57 participants, two training rooms accommodating 28 learners each, and a dedicated STEM class for 30 teenagers. Additionally, there will be a co-working arena with 30 seats, fostering collaboration and innovation among participants.

These initiatives underscore Senator Abiru’s unwavering commitment to the holistic development of Lagos East Senatorial District, addressing critical needs in healthcare, education, entrepreneurship, and community welfare. As the programs roll out, they are poised to make a significant and lasting impact on the lives of residents across the district
