ONDO GOVERNORSHIP: LABOUR PARTY DEMYSTIFY TREND, BECOMES “TABLE SHAKER”

Labour Party has become the Table Shaker in Process leading to the Governorship Elections in Ondo State.

After intense pressure from the indigenes and stakeholders of the Akure division of Ondo State, it has elected Hon. Dayo Olubo Dayo, an Indigene of the Akure Division of Ondo State, as the Party’s Governorship Candidate at the Primaries held on 27th, Apriil, 2024 in Sabo, Ondo City.

According to prior press statements by the Deji of Akure, “When it comes to general elections you will know that Akure is more than 10 local governments….Akure Division  comprises of four local governments.  They are, Idanre, Ifedore, Akure South and Akure North. So, if we can pull our weight, we get to wherever we want to go”.

While announcing Hon. Dayo Olubo Dayo as the Governorship Candidate of Labour Party in Ondo State, the Acting National Chairman of the Party, Prince Prof. Ifagbemi Awamaridi, said, “Akure District has the largest registered Voters in Ondo State Electioneering Configuration, with over 500,000 Registered Voters in it’s favour. In the last Presidential Elections the winner in Ondo State, Alhaji Bola Tinubu, polled a total of 361,944 votes,… So, if we are strategic, our winning the race is a derived conclusion…. I want to remind you all that Dayo, a management Expert, having being a Labour Party member almost 2 decades ago, is not a new horse in Ondo State Politics, he was a House of Assembly Candidate in Akure and a former Governorship Aspirant in Ondo State”.

Definitely, the stage is set for a serious battle for Alagbaka.
