CIPM Ikorodu Chapter Mourns Sudden Loss of Dedicated Member, Mrs. Ijeoma Blessing Nwobodo
The Ikorodu Chapter of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) has been thrown into mourning following the sudden demise of Mrs. Ijeoma Blessing Nwobodo, a committed member whose passing was confirmed by her family on Facebook and announced in the Chapter’s WhatsApp group on Sunday, July 13, 2025.
Mrs. Nwobodo, who actively participated in the Chapter’s Last virtual Knowledge Sharing Session (KSS) tragically passed away leaving colleagues in profound grief. Tributes have poured in from distraught members, highlighting her dedication, selflessness, and vibrant presence.
The news came as a devastating blow to the CIPM community, particularly as Mrs. Nwobodo was Virtually moved the motion for adjournment during the last Chapter meeting.
Lagos State Branch Chairman Adenike Adeyelu, FCIPM, expressed disbelief:
“This is sad and hard to believe. We were together at the virtual KSS on Thursday. May her soul rest in peace, and may God comfort her family.”
Chapter Chairman Adebukola Jaiyeoba, ACIPM, added:
“So painful!!! It is well. May she rest in peace, and may God grant her family strength.”
Margaret Alabi, a member, recalled Mrs. Nwobodo’s unwavering commitment:
“I can still hear her voice as she moved the motion to close our meeting. She was not just a colleague but a truly dedicated professional who always made her school available for our meetings. Her selflessness was inspiring.”
Other members, including Ademola Yussuf, Amos Arogbonlo, and Seyi Adekola, shared emotional condolences, praying for divine comfort for her family and eternal rest for her soul.
Mrs. Nwobodo was known for her active involvement in CIPM activities at both Chapter and State levels, often facilitating meetings and contributing to professional development programs. Her sudden departure has left a void in the HR community.
