Pathfinders Movement Mourns the Death of Former President Muhammadu Buhari
The National Chairman of *The Pathfinders Movement Nigeria*, Comrade Aramide Kehinde, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari, who served as Nigeria’s leader from 2015 to 2023.
In a heartfelt statement released today, Comrade Kehinde described Buhari as a “patriotic leader who dedicated his life to the service of Nigeria.” He acknowledged the former president’s contributions to national security, anti-corruption efforts, and infrastructural development during his tenure.
“Though his leadership had its challenges, President Buhari was a man of integrity who stood firm in his convictions,” Kehinde said. “His passing is a great loss to the nation, and we extend our condolences to his family, the people of Daura, and all Nigerians mourning this irreplaceable leader.”
Buhari, a retired military general, previously ruled Nigeria as a military head of state in the 1980s before returning to power through democratic elections in 2015. His administration focused on combating Boko Haram insurgency, improving agriculture, and building critical infrastructure such as railways and roads.
The Pathfinders Movement, a pro-democracy and good governance advocacy group, urged Nigerians to honor Buhari’s memory by upholding the values of unity and patriotism. Funeral arrangements and national tributes are expected to be announced by the federal government and family
