Foundation Targets Yakooyo Community with Compassionate Support Initiative
The Lawrence & Eunice Babarinde Foundation (LEBF) has concluded plans to carry out a humanitarian outreach tagged “Okan Itunu 0.1,” aimed at providing food support for selected elderly and vulnerable residents of Yakooyo Community, Ife North Local Government Area of Osun State.
In a statement made available to starnigerianews.com by Funmiso Babarinde, the food distribution exercise will take place on Friday, January 9, 2026, by 10:00 a.m. prompt.
The initiative, according to the foundation, is part of its ongoing commitment to easing the burden of hunger and improving the welfare of disadvantaged members of society. Okan Itunu, a Yoruba phrase meaning “Heart of Compassion,” reflects the foundation’s mission of reaching out to the needy with empathy and practical support.
LEBF, a duly registered non-governmental organization with RC number 9058326, noted that the outreach will focus on elderly citizens and other vulnerable individuals who are often hardest hit by prevailing economic challenges.
The foundation stressed that the programme is strictly humanitarian and non-political, urging beneficiaries and community members to maintain orderliness during the distribution process.
