PEOPLE’S DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP) WARD 7 ESA-OKE, OSUN STATE

*Communique Issued at the End of the PDP Leaders’ Meeting Held on Sunday, 18th May, 2025 at Esa-Oke, Osun State*

At a well-attended meeting held on Sunday, 18th May, 2025, at the residence of the PDP Ward Leader, Ijoko Area, Esa-Oke, the following resolutions were made by the undersigned leaders and stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Esa-Oke Ward.

1. We reaffirm our loyalty and commitment to the PDP and its progressive vision for Osun State and Nigeria. We remain a united, focused, and determined body of leaders at the grassroots level.

 

2. The recent defection of Hon Oluwole Oke, House of Representative member representing Obokun/Oriade, Ijesha North Federal Constituency in the National Assembly to the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) is not a setback to our party. On the contrary, we consider it a blessing in disguise. His departure has created space for genuine, grassroots-oriented leaders who are ready to serve with integrity and passion.

 

3. We categorically state that his exit has no effect on the strength, structure, or morale of the PDP in Esa-Oke. Majority of our leaders did not align with his vision, and his absence was not felt.

4. We unanimously declare our unshakable support for His Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke, and strongly endorse his re-election for a second term in office. We pledge to mobilize voters across all units and deliver overwhelming support for the Governor from Esa-Oke Ward.

 

5. We discussed ways to strengthen internal cohesion, ensure clarity in leadership roles, and promote accountability and unity across all units and family branches. Every member is encouraged to play their part for the continued success of our party.

 

6. We emphasize the importance of speaking with one voice and discouraging misinformation. Loyalty to the PDP must be publicly demonstrated, and we must avoid any form of division or sabotage.

 

7. The meeting recognized and appreciated leaders who have made financial and moral contributions to the cause of the party, and further resolved to initiate strategic engagements with the Governor in the days ahead.

 

8. Finally, we reaffirm our commitment to delivering our Local Government to the PDP in future elections. Esa-Oke remains a stronghold of the party, and we will work relentlessly to ensure victory across all levels.
